Hi I'm Nicole, Welcome to my online Portfolio!

I have been studying a Foundation Degree in Fine Art for the past two years and my next adventure will be joining UAL's Camberwell College of Arts Fine Art:

Photography and Sculpture course to complete a top-up in order to gain my full BA Honours.

Over the two years of my previous course I gained a range of personal and professional skills, gaining industry experience through means of Employer Engagements, Live Briefs and Work Placement opportunities. Each experience has allowed me to fuel and exhibit my creativity, whist allowing me to develop my confidence both personally and within the Creative Industry.

I have always appreciated every aspect of the Art and Design world. I enjoy working with a range of media and processes including painting, drawing, photography,

printmaking, sculpture, installation, videography, graphics, traditional and digital illustration and merchandising.

During my Foundation Degree I collaborated with the Visual Merchandising pathway; this allowed me to gain a 5 weeks work experience with IKEA, Tottenham.

I also collaborated with the Graphic Design pathway and from this my photography was published in the Bishop's Stortford 2020 Calendar.

I consistently aim to strive hard and push myself out of my comfort zone in order to test and experiment new ideas and create daring and exciting work. A recent project involved in-depth research into Dementia/ Alzheimer's Disease after being inspired by my late Nan. I found this project to be very meaningful to me and my personal experience living with a Dementia sufferer stimulated the idea, along with the work of Tracey Emin seen at her exhibition 'A Fortnight of Tears' at the White Cube. To gain primary research, I was able to arrange a workshop at a local elderly day-care centre, where I was able to direct an art session involving patients with and without Dementia. This supported my secondary research and allowed me to compare different cases, giving me a foundation of information to inspire my creative work. I think this will be the backbone to a lot of my future projects exploring the disorientation within society and between friends/ family etc, looking further into science and pushing the boundaries to link both Science and Fine Art.
